A private liberal arts college with 1,700 undergraduate students, Connecticut College sought to replace its outdated portal with an app experience that would work seamlessly on mobile devices and desktops. They found their answer in Modo Campus, deploying their ‘CamelWeb’ mobile app in five months and the desktop version shortly thereafter, with personas and unique content for students, employees, faculty and staff.

About 1,600 unique visitors access an average of 15,000 screens of the CamelWeb app a day on mobile devices or desktops, to navigate the campus, access the College’s learning management system, dining hall menus, email, career services app, clubs and organizations – even to check for available laundry machines.

The College is able to update and build out the app easily, delegating development across departments; including to interns, who help populate information in the app to extend functionality. Read more about Connecticut College’s app journey in the case study here.
