Our agile app building platform is the foundation for innovative digital experiences at scale for mobile, desktop and beyond
Instead of suspending their revisit weekend due to COVID-19 restrictions on travel, visitors, and events, the UCSF School of Medicine addressed it head on and launched a virtual experience on their campus mobile app. The content was crowdsourced from a group of 1st year medical students on the UCSF Admissions Advisory Committee, and brought the traditionally in-person weekend to life, virtually, for 140 accepted students.
The experience included an interactive activity schedule, virtual housing tours to show accepted students what it’s like to live in San Francisco as a medical student, and a virtual Student Activities Fair with videos from various organizations on campus. The app experience also offered an opportunity to learn how to get involved, and information on physical and mental health services designed specifically for the medical students. For additional spirit, the app included heartfelt student stories and a student-created music video.
Multiple groups at UCSF worked collaboratively to make this experience happen, including the School of Medicine Dean’s Office, Medical Education, Office of Admissions, Campus Life Services, and the Admission Advisory Committee. The School of Medicine picked up the Modo platform very quickly and were able to create the experience and make updates to the app during the weekend.
Accepted student events are critical to engage prospective students and build confidence in the investment they are making. Modo is here to help you deliver that experience and more. Watch our webinar on driving digital admitted student engagement to learn how your peers are adapting their app experiences to inform and engage their communities during changing times.
