  • Technical Support Engineer

    Are you a would-be software developer, hacker, or just plain good with technology? Modo Labs, is seeking a talented and hard-working individual to join our growing Client Services team, which is responsible for implementing and maintaining elegant, cross-platform iOS, Android and mobile web apps for our university and enterprise customers.

    We have an opening for a highly-motivated, results-oriented, enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer. Does this sound like you?

    As a Technical Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include an array of duties depending on your skill set:

    • Answering product questions
    • Performing software upgrades

    Technical Support Engineer Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role
    • Experience supporting a technology-oriented product/service (SaaS a plus)
    • Software development skills (web development a huge plus)
    • Computer Science fundamentals (Computer Science, Engineering or related degree preferred, but not required)
    • Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS, Git, iOS, Android, and/or web services
    • Familiarity working with a LAMP stack

  • Sales Operations Manager

    Based out of Cincinnati, OH the Sales Operations Manager will report to the Vice President of Sales. The Sales Operations Manager will be part of our national sales team and serve as a cross-departmental liaison, to create efficiencies that will streamline our sales process by working directly with finance and marketing teams.

    Sales Operations Manager Responsibilities

    • Build standardized business reporting for strategic analysis and internal business review
    • Provide recommendations and take action based on strategic objectives, forecasts or performance metrics
    • Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes and evaluating new tools
    • Create and maintain documentation on sales processes, policies, and relevant sales training materials
    • Assist with onboarding and training new sales talent on Salesforce
    • Identify and eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
    • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales pipeline, operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business; Improve the sales management performance by defining delivery techniques
    • Assist with Salesforce administration and project prioritization
    • Produce and review actionable and accurate sales reporting and business intelligence (BI) tools for representatives, managers and company leaders
    • Partner with sales representatives and marketing department to refine lead qualification process, analyze and report on campaign performance with reporting and dashboards
    • Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory management, and create a plan to enhance renewal and upsell processes.

    Sales Operations Manager Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in sales operations as a Salesforce subject matter expert (SME) with proficiency creating reports, optimizing processes, training new hires, and managing dashboards
    • Ability to priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with solid organization and project management skills
    • Bachelor’s degree required; technical or business-related field preferred.
    • Previous experience working at Software as a Service (SaaS) company preferred.

  • Android Developer

    Modo Labs, a leading mobile-software startup based in Cambridge, MA is looking for an Android Developer to join our talented, hardworking, and xkcd-loving development team.

    You will work with our Kurogo platform to deliver mobile web (PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS), iOS and Android apps. Our platform allows even non-developers to produce rich engagement apps for fortune 500 companies, universities and hospitals.

    As a member of the product engineering team, you will leverage your Android and Java skills to enhance our Modo Campus Android companion applications. The Android app works in association with our Kurogo application server to display dynamic screens while working in connection with the app server to handle navigation and JavaScript bridge access to native services as well as other unique native capabilities that help the user experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop new capabilities in the Android app to enhance engagement capabilities of the Kurogo Campus solution
    • Focus on native areas including but not limited to notifications, geo-location via a variety of sensor inputs and enhancing the native UX to support upcoming Android capabilities
    • Create unit tests for your various components
    • Keep compatibility up to date with the latest Android versions
    • Work with our design team to develop UX maps and product requirements
    • Follow an agile scrum model for your product development
    • Assist the Modo Labs’ QA team with scenario testing and bug fixing

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience developing in Java for Android apps
    • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree
    • Full lifecycle experience with shipping Android apps
    • Proficiency using Android Studio and related SDK Tools
    • Experience working with UNIX like environments
    • Previous work experience with multiple data interchange formats such as XML and JSON as well as with multiple data transfer mechanisms such as SOAP and REST
    • Simplicity and elegance in technical design
    • Experience developing with web MVC web applications
    • Creation and consumption of web services experience
    • Familiarity with git
    • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Jira/Atlassian products experience a plus

  • Chief Financial Officer

    As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.

    The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct management of Modo’s accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic yearly financial planning activities, and performance to plan. Other key roles include leadership of Modo’s human resource department, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, company KPIs and KPI progress, investor relationships and reports, quarterly board presentations and reports, and private and institutional financing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
    • Ensure credibility of Finance/Accounting by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
    • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
    • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
    • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
    • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
    • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
    • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
    • Head Human Resources

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
    • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in high tech/SaaS Industry, including ‘Big Four’ Public Accountant experience and/or extensive applicable experience in private industry.

    Personal Attributes:

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
    • Outstanding communication skills and a personal style that will facilitate open dialogue and engagement with both external and internal constituencies is a requirement.
    • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
    • Strong organizational skills and experience related to cross-functional processes
    • Attention to detail and ability to present data in a comprehensive and articulate manner

    Other Skills & Abilities:

    • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment, although Mac is acceptable) and strong working knowledge of IntAcct and Excel is preferred.
