    Based out of Cincinnati, OH the Sales Development Representative will be responsible for being part of a national sales team that both manages current business and hunt for new business within their territories. Ideal candidates should see this position as an entry point to the national sales team and be motivated by growth.


    • Generate new business to increase company pipeline and revenue
    • Connect and qualify incoming web and phone leads, and generate sales opportunities
    • Provide a strong initial impression to prospects, by understanding the prospects requirements, and communicating Modo’s mobile vision
    • Partner with marketing and sales on a daily basis to drive pipeline and revenue growth
    • Network from contacts to uncover all possible opportunities at an institution or company
    • Learn and demonstrate Modo’s product


    • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Jr. Software Engineer

    If you’re an eager self-starter who has a knack for writing code, learning new things, and voicing your opinion, we want to talk to you!

    As a member of our engineering team, you will focus on integrations–both writing integrations with other products/services and developing tools to better enable integrations implemented by ourselves, our customers, and our partners. We aim to create and contribute to an ecosystem of integrated technologies that will tremendously expand the capabilities and use cases of our products!


    • Develop reusable integrations using Node.JS and Amazon Web Services to connect a variety of third party services to Modo’s XModuleTM technology
    • Evaluate third party APIs and SDKs to help gather requirements, analyze feasibility, and estimate the level of effort to integrate
    • Develop native plugins that extend our iOS and Android product offerings
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and capabilities in our PHP-based server-side application framework
    • Fix bugs reported across the aforementioned product areas
    • Collaborate with the team to improve development practices and procedures


    • Experience with one or more modern server-side frameworks (Node.JS preferred)
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (particularly AWS Lambda)
    • Development experience in an object-oriented programming language
    • Familiarity with Git (please share any public portfolio repositories!)
    • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree

    Major Pluses

    Based out Cincinnati, OH the Account Representative will be responsible for leading an important territory and executing sales that will accelerate growth in this key market. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with marketing, product, customer success, services, design and management will be critical to the success of this role.

    Modo Labs is looking for a top performing software sales representative with demonstrated experience selling software and technology solutions to the Education market. We are a venture-backed company with significant opportunities for growth, and a known market leader in employee engagement and mobile campus solutions.


    • Achieve annual sales goals through the direct sale of mobile software solutions to territory clients
    • Identify high potential sales opportunities through prospecting and qualification
    • Present the Modo value proposition to stakeholders within prospective client organizations
    • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, product mix and terms
    • Work closely with sales development representatives to prospect territory and build pipeline to ensure quarterly and annual sales targets are met
    • Work collaboratively with solution engineers, delivery and support teams, to ensure all aspects of pre-sales, and delivery are being worked at highest levels of performance and client satisfaction
    • Provide ongoing competitive market and client feedback to the company to help drive continuous improvement of sales team, service delivery, product development and company strategy


    • 2+ years in the Higher Education market or 4+ years in SaaS sales
    • Demonstrated track record of performance relative to assigned goals
    • Experience selling software solutions directly to Higher Education clients
    • Ability to clearly understand and articulate issues around student success and engagement and how Modo software and mobile apps can help solve clients’ challenges around student success
    • Ability to gain access to and negotiate with senior leadership in Higher Ed (Provost, CIO, etc.)

  • Senior Accountant

    We’re looking for Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our Finance/Accounting team. The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will be a member of a small, agile, focused Accounting and Finance team, and will work closely and in collaboration on a day-to-day basis with the Sr. Corporate Controller and, as projects may require, directly with the CFO.

    You will be responsible for contributing to the timely and accurate completion of month end close, monthly financial transaction processing, audit-related and process improvement activities, as well as ad hoc projects for the CFO, Sr. Corporate Controller and Company.


    Monthly Close and Related Activities

    • Participate in month-end close activities and ensure compliance with monthly close calendar. Activities include but not limited to prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts in a thoughtful, easy to understand manner.
    • Responsible for AP and AR processes, including Billing/Collections, Vendor Payments, T&E review.
    • Analyze fluctuations between forecast and actual results and prepare supporting documentation to be used in Management meetings.
    • Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements/models, management reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
    • Assist in annual audit and prepare audit schedules as necessary.
    • Proactively identify issues causing inefficiencies and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes, including cross-accounting system integration and automation.
    • Be instrumental in improving the Accounting close process and other accounting process flows.Resolve and / or mediate the resolution of accounting system related problems and requests.


    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
    • Assist Sr. Corporate Controller in research of accounting literature and drafting technical memos.
    • Complete special projects for CFO and Sr. Corporate Controller, as may be required


    • BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
    • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in high tech industry, fast growing, dynamic, multinational environment, and public firm experience is a plus.
    • CPA license preferred.
    • Strong Excel skills are essential; experience with Intacct is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Working knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
    • Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and their application as well as a demonstrated ability to apply these in the business context.
    • Must be detail oriented, accurate, customer oriented, possess excellent analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively across functional areas.
    • Self-starter, high availability, driven with minimum supervision, ability to work under pressure, meet fixed deadlines and thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
    • Flexibility to navigate a fluid and fast-paced environment is required.
    • Ability to prioritize daily tasks to consistently meet fixed deadlines and ad hoc requirements from time to time.
