Director of Training and Enablement

Modo’s SaaS platform empowers organizations to create feature-rich mobile and web apps that help their people do life better together, by making their people more informed, effective, and engaged. Our platform’s broad range of authoring capabilities are designed for non-developers as well as an API for developers to build out their own in-app experiences, so its success depends on excellent onboarding, training, and support. We’re looking for a senior-level software/system trainer to lead our company’s work in this area.

You’ll be responsible for creating training videos on all aspects of app creation, communication, and management in our platform. You’ll also provide personalized coaching to help individual customers, partners, and staff with problem-solving, best practices, and leveling up their abilities in our platform. You’ll be expected to become a product expert and help drive the product forward by working with the product/management teams.  We need someone who’s an experienced technical instructor capable of educating new users in our software’s complex feature set. Beyond that, we want someone who’s also a natural coach and hands-on mentor, who really enjoys figuring things out and helping people. This is a role for the independently self-motivated. It’s also one in which you’ll also collaborate closely with people across the company – including senior management – because your work will be critical to both onboarding and long-term success for our customers, partners, and staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and constantly build up your own product expertise, and promote it in others
  • Create and maintain a library of on-demand training videos
  • Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to customers and partners (almost entirely via web meetings)
  • Assist and coach our own staff in documenting and promoting the best use of our software


  • 3+ years experience as a software trainer, including remote training (or related role)
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge, especially in web and mobile applications, structured markup (e.g., JSON, XML, HTML), and web services
  • Self-motivation and organization
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States


  • 3+ years experience working with customers at a consultative/strategic level (non-training)
  • 3+ years experience in a technical position (non-training) 
  • Experience with APIs and system integrations
