  • Web Integration Developer (PHP)

    Are you a PHP web developer who wants to make iOS or Android apps? Modo Labs, a venture backed software company based in Cambridge, MA is looking for an amazing PHP developer to join our incredibly talented, hard working team to work with our Kurogo mobile app platform to implement elegant, cross-platform iOS, Android and mobile web apps.

    As a PHP Developer, you will integrate our products on behalf of our university and enterprise clients. You will create new modules, data connectors and parsers in PHP, configure screens in YAML, and generate and deploy iOS and Android apps using our ready-to-go Kurogo native app projects. You will also help the product engineering team understand customer requirements and drive product features and capabilities. You will assist the sales team in building long-term relationships with our customers after the initial contract is signed. Finally you will work day-to-day with customer resources to ensure successful adoption of Modo Labs’ products and services.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Engage in multiple, ongoing complex mobile system implementations using your PHP and web skills
    • Configure Kurogo software, write connectors, develop custom modules and handle varied technical tasks
    • Work with designers, project managers and QA personnel as a team to deliver our mobile solutions
    • Maintain productive relationships with technical leaders at clients
    • Assist the Modo Labs’ QA team with scenario testing and bug fixing
    • Escalate client business and technical issues
    • Define and document key business processes associated with customer technical integration
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Familiarity working with a LAMP stack
    • Familiarity with MVC frameworks
    • Development experience with PHP
    • Proficiency using version control (we use Git)
    • Able to understand and debug communication with RESTful APIs
    • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
    Pluses:
    • Experience with the creation and consumption of web services.
    • Familiarity with MongoDB
    • Development experience with iOS or Android.
    • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree.
    Location
    • The job is onsite in Cambridge, MA and travel is not required
  • Inside Sales Representative

    Modo Labs is looking for a top inside software sales representative with demonstrated experience selling software and technology solutions to the Enterprise market.

    Job responsibilities for this position include: prospecting, cold calling, qualifying opportunities, delivering a compelling technology-rich value proposition, and articulating the benefits of joining an open source community to clients. Success in this role is defined by achieving sales and key metrics targets on a monthly and quarterly basis. We are a venture backed start up and there are significant opportunities for growth.

    Responsibilities
    • Play a vital role in sales pipeline growth through generation of Qualified Sales Opportunities within assigned territory.
    • Proactively respond to individuals who have requested information regarding our solutions.
    • Execute email and/or calling campaigns to initiate contact with suspects and prospects, creating initial interest and positioning Modo Labs services and solutions
    • Gather potential client requirements and present key service/solution selling points, features and benefits.
    • Understand and articulate the Modo Labs value proposition to business and technology stakeholders within the prospective client organization
    • Conduct initial prospect qualification including; needs identification, budget determination, project execution timeframe, and decision maker identification
    • Work with outside sales and Modo technical team to coordinate sales activities
    • Maintain record of activities with leads and opportunities within Modo CRM software program
    Qualifications
    • 2+ years of inside sales experience
    • Demonstrated ability to sell software and solutions over the phone
    • Internet savvy and experience with MS Office.
    • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Pleasant phone manner; respectful but assertive.
    • Tenacious at calling and reaching IT and Business executives.
    • Metrics driven and willing/able to sustain a high level of activity in order to achieve assigned goals.
    • Persistent, able to overcome obstacles and desire to continuously improve skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment team.
